LOS ANGELES, December 18, 2018 – Corporate Center Pasadena, a four-building complex in South Lake Avenue’s business and shopping district, has “adopted” 30 in-need families over the holidays for Hillsides, a Southern California foster care and mental health charity.  The holiday wishes of the families are being answered by the tenants in the complex.

Brittany Sojka, tenant services coordinator at Corporate Center Pasadena, suggested partnering with Hillsides to her co-workers.  They unanimously agreed to adopt families for the holidays.

Corporate Center Pasadena’s adoption of 30 families over the holidays is the largest Hillsides Adopt-A-Family donation ever by one single donor. “Usually at this time of the year, we are struggling to have all of the holiday wishes of the families met, but this year, due to Corporate Center Pasadena, we have been able to adopt out all 100 of our families,”  said Laura Kelso, Hillsides director of community resources.

Hillsides has run an Adopt-A-Family holiday program for Hillsides families in need for the last several years. Social workers and therapists throughout the agency identify families who need help, and then their profiles, along with holiday wish lists, are given to community members and businesses to fulfill.

The Corporate Center Pasadena is located on six acres totaling approximately 630,000 square feet at 201, 225, 251, and 283 South Lake Avenue in Pasadena.  The Center was acquired by Coretrust Capital Partners in May 2018.
