5.7.14

(PASADENA, CA) Supporters of the Pasadena-headquartered charity Hillsides can take their pick of one of three “sports” -- bridge, Bunco, or tennis -- when they participate in the 28th Annual Bartlett Cup on May 13 held in two locations in Arcadia, California.

A rotating women’s doubles round robin tennis tournament will be held at 8:45 a.m. at the Santa Anita County tennis courts located at 405 S. Santa Anita Avenue in Arcadia, CA, 91007.  A bridge and Bunco tournament will begin at 9:00 a.m. at a private estate in Arcadia.  At noon, all participants will gather together for a luncheon and an awards ceremony.

The cost of any tournament play and lunch is $40.  For those wishing to attend the luncheon only, the price is $25.  All proceeds benefit Hillsides. The top four winners of each event will be awarded trophies.

Those wishing to participate in the event should contact Alison Bell at 323-543-2800, ext. 126 or abell2@hillsides.org.

The Bartlett Cup is hosted by the Hillsides Guild, a volunteer arm of the charity that organizes fundraisers and activities for the children who live at Hillsides Residential Treatment Services.  The Residential Treatment Services, one of Hillsides four core programs, provide a safe and stable environment for children and youth who cannot live at home or who have experienced trauma.  Hillsides, which serves children and families throughout Los Angeles County,  is a premier provider dedicated to improving the overall well-being and functioning of children, youth, and their families.  For more information, please visit www.Hillsides.org.
