Hillsides Launches “100 Days of Giving” Social Media Campaign
9.19.13

(PASADENA, CA)--A Hillsides volunteer donates hours of her time designing invitations to a yearly fundraiser.

A talented Los Angeles musician performs regularly for the children at Hillsides’ library and gave a special performance at the agency’s recent Founder’s Day celebration.

A local Eagle Scout dedicates his Sundays to fixing fences on campus.

A 91-year-old donor in Arcadia, CA  has been giving yearly to Hillsides for over a quarter of a century.

Each of these supporters helps make Hillsides the impactful place it is and allows it to give high quality care, advocacy, and innovative services to over 7,000 children and families each year.

Beginning on September 23, Hillsides will acknowledge a sampling of the thousands of volunteers, donors, and friends of the agency with a “100 Days of Giving” campaign.  This campaign will highlight people, organizations, or companies who give back to Hillsides.  Every day for 100 days, one supporter will be featured on the agency’s Facebook page (facebook.com/HillsidesChildren) and on Twitter (@Hillsides).  The campaign dovetails into the last 100 days of the charity’s centennial year.

“I am thrilled we will acknowledge individuals and organizations who come from all walks of life and professions but who share one thing in common:  a concern for vulnerable children, youth, and families,” said Joseph M. Costa, Hillsides chief executive officer.  “This campaign lets them know we appreciate them as well as the many others who give their time, talent, and resources to Hillsides.”

The campaign will run through the end of the year.
