LOS ANGELES, December 11, 2017 -- This holiday season, Hillsides, a Southern California mental health and foster care charity, has collaborated with Starbucks to place holiday toy collection boxes in 63 Starbucks stores throughout the San Gabriel Valley. The boxes will be in selected stores from December 8 - 11 through Christmas, and customers are encouraged to drop off unwrapped toys at any participating Starbucks.
“We are very thankful for Starbucks for supporting Hillsides during the holidays,” said Hillsides President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph M. Costa. “Starbucks began its first toy drive for us eight years ago, and each year, this is a tremendous opportunity for Hillsides to make sure that the children and families we serve will have happy holidays.”
Not only is Starbucks hosting the Hillsides toy drive, Starbucks partners (employees) also volunteer their time to construct the 63 toy collection boxes that will be placed in the Starbucks stores.
Jennifer Vanderpool, Starbucks Pasadena district manager, hopes the toy drive will collect some 3,000 holiday toys for the children. For a list of all participating Starbucks, please visit Hillsides website at www.hillsides.org.
