LOS ANGELES, December 4, 2018 – For the ninth year in a row, Starbucks is placing holiday toy collection boxes for the foster care charity Hillsides in Starbucks stores throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Customers are encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys at participating Starbucks from the week of December 3 – 7 through December 21. This year, 55 Starbucks are participating.
“Many of the families who receive our services and programs cannot afford holiday meals or gifts. Every donated gift means that a child will have at least one toy to open. We are so thankful for Starbucks for once again partnering with us and helping bring joy to the children we serve,” said Joseph M. Costa, Hillsides president and chief executive officer.
Not only is Starbucks hosting the toy drive, Starbucks partners (employees) also volunteered their time to construct the toy collection boxes that will be placed in the Starbucks stores.
