LOS ANGELES, October 24, 2018 – The Ice House Comedy Club 58th Anniversary Show, held on October 14 benefiting Hillsides, raised more than $10,000 for the Southern California foster care charity. The sold-out event, which included a silent and live auction, supports the Hillsides Volunteer Network, a volunteer arm of Hillsides.  The funds will go towards activities and field trips for the children who live in Hillsides’ residential program.

Each year The Ice House owner Bob Fisher puts on a special anniversary show benefit for Hillsides.  Kicking off the 58th show was KT Tatara, whose numerous television appearances include NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother.”  Comic Wendy Liebman, who is a regular on late-night television, followed.  The very funny Orlando Leyba, a finalist in NBC’s “Stand Up” Showcase, also performed.  Rounding out the show was Ron Pearson, an Ice House veteran who combines comedy with juggling and unicycle riding.

The Hillsides Volunteer Network is one of three support groups of Hillsides.  The group puts on monthly activities and events for the children, including an annual summer carnival.
