LOS ANGELES, December 7, 2018 – Local realtor Eva Lin and her team at Lin Realty Group in Pasadena donated 50 new bicycles and helmets to the children living at Hillsides residential treatment program.   The company also enlisted employees, clients, friends, and family to build the bikes on the Hillsides campus during the “Lin Realty Group’s Inaugural Bike Build & Donation Party.”

Children in one of Hillsides five on-site cottages were presented with the bikes as holiday presents.  The remainder of the 50 children who live at Hillsides will receive their bikes on Christmas.

This is the first year Lin Realty Group has supported Hillsides, a Southern California foster care and mental health charity, for the holidays.

“Having become a new mother this year, I wanted to refocus Lin Realty Group’s charitable giving toward children in need right here in our local community, said Eva Lin. “The kids at Hillsides are incredible, and they’ve been through so much in their short lives.  I hope that receiving a brand-new bicycle and helmet on Christmas will make their holiday season one to remember.”

Lin Realty Group looks forward to repeating this event for the children at Hillsides every holiday season.  Additionally, the team is planning their next bicycle donation event, which will occur in June and will benefit select 2nd graders from Pasadena Unified School District.

Lin Realty Group helps families buy and sell homes through their superior client service approach, so those families can thrive emotionally and financially. Its mission is to set an example that dramatically influences the standard of care real estate agents provide to their clients paralleled by the tremendous impact such ones can make in their local community.  Endeavoring to fulfill their mission, Lin Realty Group donates a portion of each commission they earn to their charitable giving efforts so that it will have a direct, positive impact on the children in the local community.

Hillsides residential treatment program offers provide a safe and stable environment for children and youth who cannot live at home, who suffered trauma and who have severe emotional, psychological and behavioral challenges requiring specialized care and treatment. Children will soon be able to take advantage of Hillsides new $18.1 million improvement project, which should be completed by the end of this year.  The centerpiece of the construction project is the 34,000-square foot Margie & Robert E. Peterson Student Center that will include a new dining commons, state-of-the-art kitchen, art room, music studio, and gym.
