LOS ANGELES, September 15, 2017  – The Ice House Comedy comedy club is hosting its annual benefit for Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity, on October 1.  The Ice House 57th Anniversary Show will feature the talents of Amir K of “Mad TV,” Bob Zany from “the BOB & TOM Show,” Eric “Smooth E” Schwartz from “The Tonight Show,” Orlando Leyba from “Gotham Comedy Live,” Jackie Fabulous from “StaannDUP,” as well as a “special guest.”

LOS ANGELES, September 5, 2017 – Norma Flores and her two young daughters were all smiles as they loaded four new mattresses in their mini-van. “This is a huge help for my family,” said Flores. “The ones we have now are old and no good.”

LOS ANGELES, August 22, 2017 – The Starbucks Foundation has awarded Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity, a $30,000 grant for its Youth Moving On (YMO) workforce development program for transition-aged youth 16-25.  The funds will be used to support workforce development services including community service and outreach efforts to help youth gain the necessary skills needed to prepare for employment.

LOS ANGELES, August 18, 2017 – On August 30, Leesa, an online direct-to-consumer luxury mattress company, will hold a donation event for Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity. The company will give away 111 mattresses at the site of Hillsides’ Youth Moving On program in Pasadena, which serves youth transitioning from foster care to adulthood.

LOS ANGELES,  July 7, 2017 -  Hillsides guests attended the agency’s annual Farm to Table dinner at the private Pasadena estate of Jim and Chelisa Vagim, which raised nearly $20,000. Set in resort-like grounds and a private lake, the estate overlooked the San Gabriel Valley with stunning views for all guests to enjoy the summer evening.
