(PASADENA, CA)  The National Council for Behavioral Health has selected Hillsides as one of 29 community behavioral health organizations from across six states to participate in the Reducing Adolescent Substance Abuse Initiative.

(PASADENA, CA) Hillsides is pleased to announce that it collected 181 backpacks filled with school supplies for its back-to-school drive, meeting the needs of the children in Hillsides programs. The National Charity League Pasadena supplied 75 backpacks, the non-profit volunteer organization, Friends of Foster Children (FOFC), contributed 66 backpacks, and Tokio Marine Management of Pasadena contributed 40. In addition, the Pasadena-headquartered company Green Dot Corporation and the Los Angeles-based Kings Jewelry and Loan, Inc. donated school supplies.

(PASADENA) Hillsides has been selected by Thomas Safran and Associates (TSA), a Los Angeles affordable housing developer, as the recipient of the company’s seventh annual Big Give. On Thursday, September 11, 175 TSA employees will arrive at Hillsides main campus in Pasadena to paint and landscape. They will then host a carnival for the Hillsides children that includes food, music, a rock wall, a dunk tank, and games.

(PASADENA) WOD Gear Clothing, a South Pasadena, CA athletic apparel company, is donating proceeds from its fourth annual Team Series competition to the Pasadena-based non-profit Hillsides. The all-day event will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9 at Citrus College in Glendora, CA.  Seventy teams consisting of two men and two women will compete to see which teams are the fittest.
