LOS ANGELES, August 30, 2018 -- Hillsides, a Southern California foster care and mental health charity, has opened a new office in East Los Angeles. The Bienvenidos Family Resource Centers, East Los Angeles will offer mental health, family preservation, wraparound, and youth prevention services.  The location replaces two smaller sites in East Los Angeles and Montebello.

LOS ANGELES, August 21, 2018 -- Alicia Jennings has been named the new director of education for Hillsides Education Center (HEC), a therapeutic residential and nonpublic school for students experiencing social-emotional, learning, and/or behavior challenges.  In her position, Jennings is responsible for the organization and operation of the school.  She plans, directs, and coordinates all activities and is tasked with creating and maintaining an educational program responsive to the needs of individual students.

Hillsides, a Southern California foster care and mental health charity, is asking the community to donate 200 school backpacks for local children in need or foster care.  Every summer, the agency, which serves 15,000 children and families, runs a back-to-school backpack drive for children who cannot afford school supplies.  This year, Hillsides has fallen short of its goal to collect 450 backpacks filled with school basics.

LOS ANGELES, July 16, 2018 -- Hillsides, a Southern California foster care and mental health charity, has named Los Angeles attorney Jesse A. Cripps to a two-year term as the new board of directors chair. He replaces outgoing chair Donna Ford, who served on the board for 13 years and will remain in an ex-officio position. Cripps is a partner in the Los Angeles branch of law firm Gibson Dunn and a member of the firm’s labor & employment, litigation and class action practice groups.

LOS ANGELES, June 28, 2018 – Hillsides, a Southern California foster care and mental health charity, held a Client Open House at its new Bienvenidos Family Resource Centers, Arcadia on June 26. The office, which offers mental health, wraparound, and foster care and adoption services, recently relocated from Pasadena to 50 East Foothill Blvd. in Arcadia.
